With injuries following the Aberavon mid week game Llanelli gave opportunities to tight head props Peter Owen,Sean McDonnell-Roberts and scrum half Rhys Lane and all three can feel well pleased with their performances.
On a beautiful Autumn afternoon Llanelli opened the scoring within a minute with a penalty from Jordan Williams. Seven minutes of fast flowing rugby resulted in the home team getting their first try of the afternoon through No 8 Sam Feehan which Richard Powell converted. The outside halves then swapped penalties before Llanelli wing Bowdy Davies touched down which Jordan converted for a 13-10 lead. Just on halftime Powell kicked a penalty to level the scores.
Bedwas came flying out of the blocks at the restart with Llanelli pressing their line, Bedwas broke free and scored an excellent try from big Jack Dixon and six minutes later another try from Ross Wardle stunned the visitors.
Llanelli were still looking dangerous and continually threatened the Bedwas try line, but a combination of excellent defence and lack of composure saw Llanelli fail to cross the whitewash. Their solitary score was a 50metre penalty from Jordan Williams to hold a losing point scoreline.
But further heartache was to follow deep in injury time, acting captain Simon Grainger scored their bonus point try converted by Richard Powell which sent the visitors home with no points for their afternoons efforts.
Llanelli's Man of the Match went to No 8 Stuart Leach.
