Fine Win at Carmarthen Quins

Six penalties from the trusted boot of young Dan Newton (with a 100% kicking exhibition ) was enough to win the four Principality Premiership points for the improving Llanelli team.

The Quins experienced Gareth Cull had a difficult night missing five attempts at goal. He did however score all his team's points with a penalty and a good corner try which he converted from the touchline.

Forwards coach Vervon Cooper would be well pleased with the way his pack are starting to perform and provide the platform for their talented backline.

It was also exciting to watch 17 year old scrum half Aled Davies make an impressive debut as he replaced the industrious Justin James in the 68th minute and as much as the importance of the result was, Director of Rugby Anthony Buchanan is adamant that Llanelli RFC is about giving young talented players an opportunity to play Premiership rugby on their pathway to being SCARLETS!
