Improving Llanelli played with a stiff breeze behind them and where soon on the scoreboard when SteveShingler made a nice break, offloaded to Nick Reynolds who coasted in
from 20metres. Shingler added a penalty mid way through the half to extend the lead.

Ebbw forwards were competitive as ever and at times were putting the homesters under pressure only to be up against a determined defence. They also missed a couple of penalty shots at goal which would have reduced the deficit, however, with the last play of the half Llanelli scored another try following a good threequarter move which saw wing Dale Ford cross in the corner.

The second half saw Llanelli up the gears with some excellent interplay
between forwards & backs creating some gret tries as they rattled up 8 tries in total.
Rookie Steffan Phillips showed up well and when he gets to full fitness could be one to watch as did new boy 17year old Iolo Evans,Nick Cudd was again everywhere
and full back and outside half Johnny Lewis was man of the match with a
hat trick of tries.
