Quins next to challenge the Town side

It’s Principality Premiership action again this week as we again take on fellow regionalists Carmarthen Quins at the Park Carmarthen this coming Friday evening.

It was good to get some league action in last week which saw us come away with a very good and hard fought win over Llandovery. It was a game the boy’s certainly needed and they ground out the result that keeps us in the hunt for the end of season play-off’s. Being on the road this week will present another stiff challenge but we’ve won on the Park before and see no reason why we can’t do so again. Over the year’s we’ve had some really tight encounters with Quins and there’s every chance that this game could once again go right down to the wire.

The Quins must be smarting from their defeat last Saturday at Aberavon. Having dominated the 1ST half they saw a 17pt advantage disappear conceding 23 un-answered 2ND half points. No doubt the inquest after that game would have interesting to listen in on! Stating the obvious they’ll be hurting from that reversal and will want to get back to winning ways and maintain their good run of results at the Park. They’ve won quite a number of games both in the league, Swalec & B&I cups on their own patch and haven’t been beaten on home soil since last November.

We secured a good home win over them at the “Parc” earlier this season so the boy’s will be looking to secure the double. Of course the Quins will have a lot to say about that and it all makes for another exciting Premiership clash.

Look forward to seeing you there.
