This coming Thursday 4th February we play our 3RD game in nine days when we take on Ebbw Vale RFC at Parc-y-Scarlets in a rearranged Principality Premiership league game. KO 7.15pm
This game was originally scheduled for next Saturday, but with the 6 Nations starting on the same day & the Scarlets playing the Blues in the LV Cup, common sense prevailed and the game was switched in order for both teams & supporters to make their own arrangements to follow Wales at Twickenham. Please also note our following games have been rearranged:-
home v Bedwas 23rd February Tues 7:15pm kick off
away v Pontypool 23rd March Tues 7:30pm kick off.
away v Cross Keys 30th March Tues 7:30pm kick off.
away v Pontypridd 20th April Tues 7:30pm kick off.
After our excellent win at the weekend against Pontypridd we look to consolidate our position at the top end of the league, whilst “Ebbw” will be coming to us with nothing to lose. They are currently at the wrong end of the table fighting for continued Premiership status alongside Pontypool. Even though we secured a victory in the cup against them last week, that’s behind us and we know all too well that they can be a dangerous side and can easily upset the odds.
It’s going to be a very busy period for us over the coming weeks with British & Irish and Swalec Cup games all at Parc-y-Scarlets, so this game provides us with the opportunity to “get on a roll” as it were, make home advantage count and push on for further successes. Missing from these matches will be our Wales Under 20s players Scott Williams, Gareth Davies and Trystan Davies "congratulations and best of luck in your 6 nations games."
As always many thanks for your continued support, look forward to seeing you on Thursday.
Finally, super win by the Scarlets last week - let’s hope WALES can make 4 in a row against the old enemy!
