Llanelli scraped into next seasons British and Irish Cup with an unconvincing win against Cardiff RFC at Parc Y Scarlets.
It was fitting that Man of the Match Nic Reynolds' excellent try deceided this Premiership play-off match in the 54th minute after Gareth Davies and Llanelli's Steve Shingler had kicked 3 penalties each.
One could question the validity of this extra end of season competition as both sides seemed to lack their usual intensity. However,Llanelli now progress into an away Quarter- final clash with Newport at Rodney Parade on Tuesday 11th May with the winners playing Swansea RFC in the semi's.In the other half of the competition, Llandovery play at Pontypridd with the winners playing Neath RFC in the semi's.
